Team AWS access

Ready to build.

One $25 allowance for your whole team. Solo builders receive the same.

Your private allocation

Reveal the credentials sent to your team leader. Opening this link again shows the same allocation.

Open the private link in your leader’s email. Links expire after 24 hours.

How to use your AWS access

  1. Open your private access link and select “Reveal AWS access”.
  2. Select “Open AWS console”. Sign in as an IAM user with the IAM username and console password shown. Enter the account ID if asked.
  3. Choose US East (N. Virginia), us-east-1. For EC2 and load balancers, select the existing Hackathon_VPC.

Your team’s $25 allowance is provided through this AWS login. No credit code, new AWS account or payment card is needed.

Account limits

AWS Region

Use us-east-1 only. All other AWS regions are unavailable.

Approved services

EC2, Lambda, IAM roles and load balancers only. You may create IAM roles and attach policies to them.

VPC

Use only the pre-provisioned Hackathon_VPC in us-east-1. Create EC2 instances and load balancers inside it. You cannot create your own VPC.

EC2 instance types

t2: t2.nano, t2.micro, t2.small, t2.medium, t2.large

t3: t3.nano, t3.micro, t3.small, t3.medium, t3.large

t3a: t3a.nano, t3a.micro, t3a.small, t3a.medium, t3a.large

EC2 instance limit

One EC2 instance per supplied IAM user, shared by your team. Terminate the existing instance before launching a replacement. If you launch another first, AWS/Aivar automation will terminate the newly created instance.

EBS volume limit

Each EBS volume must be 50 GB or less. Larger volumes cannot be created.

Stay within your team’s $25 allowance. Stop resources when finished. This page tracks access, not AWS spending.
